Technology
Welcome to Instructional Technology
The Payette School District has seen significant growth in classroom technology over the past several years. What was once managed by a single Instructional Technology staff member now requires a dedicated team of technicians to ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively in support of student learning.
The district currently provides a 1:1 Chromebook program beginning in second grade. Kindergarten and first-grade students have daily access to both iPads and Chromebooks equipped with high-quality instructional applications.
Students regularly use a wide range of digital learning tools selected by teachers to enhance instruction, allowing the district to blend traditional teaching methods with modern technology.
Students in grades 7–12 are assigned a Chromebook to take home each day for schoolwork and homework. Before receiving a device, a signed technology agreement and liability consent form must be on file. Students and parents are responsible for proper care of the device and may be held liable for damage resulting from loss or misuse.
In addition to student devices, the district supports approximately 250 staff computers, along with the servers, printers, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and networking systems required to maintain an effective learning environment and meet operational and reporting needs.
Device Protection Program
Welcome to the Payette Joint School District Technology program; a comprehensive initiative designed to equip students with modern tools and resources in their educational journey.
To ensure a safe and effective learning environment is kept, the Payette Schools will provide technology to its students. These devices will be consistent across grade groupings (Kindergarten, 1-6, and 7-12). These devices are for instructional purpose and to maximize education.
