Sick Leave Bank
The Sick Leave Bank provides additional paid leave for employees who face extended absences due to catastrophic illness, life-threatening accidents, or serious medical conditions after their own leave has been exhausted. These absences may be due to their own illness or that of a family member.
Payette School District has a certified Sick Leave Bank and classified Sick Leave Bank. The Sick Leave Bank Committee will determine the number of sick leave days the employees will contribute per year. Currently, PSD employees are contributing one day to join the bank. If this changed, employees would be notified.
To request days from the bank, employees must have:
Used all accumulated sick and personal leave, and
Taken one unpaid day before applying.
Each request is reviewed by the Sick Leave Bank Committee based on medical documentation and established guidelines. Please attach a letter from your attending physician stating the dates you are excused from work and your anticipated return date.
