Principal's Message:
Payette Alternative School Staff and Administration are proud to have the opportunity to teach your students. Our goal is to provide every student with a positive and successful education. Our first priority is to serve the students that reside in Payette, but when space is available we offer out of district student placement. We are able to offer smaller class sizes and more individualized attention to each student.
Students choose to attend the Alternative Center for a variety of reasons. Some strive to graduate high school in three years so they attend both day school and Alternative school. Other students desire to work during the day and attend classes during the late afternoon and early evening. A few of our students have missed a credit or two and attend Alternative school to make up those credits. Of course a few of our students prefer the smaller class sizes with more one-to-one attention.
Every teacher is highly qualified to teach his or her content area subject. Their dedication to teaching is evidenced in their willingness to teach at the high school and then, when most teachers have the opportunity to go home for the day, they teach one or more classes during the evening. The high level of teacher motivation provides our students with a unique level of learning.
You may contact us Monday through Thursday from 2:15-8:30 at 642-4705. During regular school hours you may contact us at 642-4138.
